As the company has grown and expanded it has not lost sight of what helps differentiate Melloul-Blamey from many of its competitors - that clients deal with one of the owners every step of the way.

Founders Bernie and David began their succession planning right from the beginning and while they are still very much involved in the company, the next generation holds key positions in the management structure, providing direct executive involvement in every step of the project - whether it is business development, project development, estimating or construction. Melloul-Blamey's owners take active roles and full responsibility for the success of your project.

ANDY MOSSER

Andy Mosser began his career with Melloul-Blamey Construction in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada in 1991 as an Assistant Superintendent and Carpenter.  Through his continued education and experience, track record of excellent construction and project management, Andy quickly became an integral part of the Melloul-Blamey family.  In June 2003, Andy relocated to Melloul-Blamey USA to lead the executive team as Vice-President of Construction.  He brings a wealth of both education and experience to the Melloul-Blamey Family. 

While working on a degree in Geography at the University of Guelph, Ontario, Andy discovered his true passion in construction.  He earned a Degree in Construction Supervision from Conestoga College, three subsequent Certifications for Carpentry, Site Supervision, and Core Safety Training, as well as being the licensed qualifier for Structural Steel, Concrete and General Contracting.

An authority in interpreting, planning, and implementing the many details between clients, architects, and sub trades, Andy is the "go-to guy" for all categories of projects.  Skilled in coordinating logistics, inventory control, and vendor relations, as well as local and national contract negotiations, value engineering, and cost reductions, Andy is able to manage and construct multiple projects simultaneously.  Andy has also established an extensive background in hiring, training, and supervising staff at all levels, encouraging new ideas and creating a team atmosphere as the company continues is growth in the USA. While his ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly leads to skilled conflict resolution when it arises, Andy is determined to succeed. 

Andy and his wife, Michelle, are actively raising three children, and can be found at sporting events for their youngest, or visiting their older children at Fort Bragg and the University of South Carolina.  The lakes and streams in Southern Ontario still beckon his family in the spring time, but their busy lives in Greenville make those trips few and far between.

MARY-ALLYSON CHAUVIN
DIRECTOR OF BUSINESS OPERATIONS

Mary-Allyson Chauvin joined Melloul-Blamey with a strong background in designing and executing process improvements, and establishing strategic procedures to maintain and strengthen quality performances.   Mary-Allyson is accomplished in all areas of business, including: business research methodology and analysis, finance and accounting, marketing/public relations/communications, human resource management and leadership.  With an undergraduate degree in Industrial Chemistry, Mary-Allyson adapts her scientific methodology experience to business processes and client value deliveries by defining, measuring, analyzing, improving and controlling all areas of the business canvas to achieve project and operational objectives.  As Director of Business Operations, Mary-Allyson is responsible for Melloul-Blamey USA's strategic initiatives, including business development, human resources training and development, operations, and risk management.  

When not cheering from the sidelines her sons' various sporting events, you can find Mary-Allyson enjoying live theatre, fine dining, and spending quality time outdoors.

JASON LATHROP
PROJECT MANAGER

Jason Lathrop relocated from Columbia, SC with over 17 years of construction and project management experience to join Melloul-Blamey Construction USA.  Jason is an active Platoon Sergeant with the South Carolina Army National Guard, and brings his leadership and organizational efficiency and skills when executing the management of his projects.  He has successfully overseen the execution of multiple complex projects with multi-million dollar budgets.  With formal education in Project Management, Engineering Management, and Architectural Engineering, Jason's technical knowledge is extensive.

MATTHEW BELLO
HEAD ESTIMATOR

Matthew Bello earned his degree in Construction Management from East Carolina University in 2011, and joined Melloul-Blamey Construction in 2012. Matt started with the company as a Project Coordinator, working hand-in-hand with the Project Management team.  With his determination and dedication to continued career development, he earned the position as Head Estimator in 2014. Matt is an accomplished problem-solver with attention to detail. With a focused and organized method to project estimations, pre-construction planning and scope communications, he has proven to be a valuable asset to Melloul-Blamey's Project Managers, Superintendents and Project Owners.

Outside of his busy work schedule Matt and his wife, Larkin, stay active by participating in the Greenville Sports League and enjoy hiking and being outdoors with their three dogs. When time allows, Matt also spend his free time on the golf course.

BRANDON JONES
PROJECT COORDINATOR/HEALTH AND SAFETY OFFICER

Brandon Jones joined the Melloul-Blamey Construction team after graduating from the Clemson University Construction Science and Management program in 2015.  A recent graduate, Brandon provides Melloul-Blamey with a fresh perspective on the science of construction management.  Brandon's eagerness to learn and achieve has awarded him with the responsibility of Health and Safety Officer, and his education has successfully prepared him to work with our Project Managers in coordinating the complexities of project delivery.  

On weekends in the fall you are likely to find Brandon at football games at Clemson University.  During the spring and summer months, Brandon enjoys attending Clemson baseball games and spending time in the mountains where he enjoys fishing, hiking, and camping with family and friends.

Paul Brubacher
General Superintendent

With a commitment to the Melloul-Blamey Construction team for over 30 years now, Paul Brubacher has established himself as a key member of the Greenville, SC branch.

Paul earned a degree in Construction Engineering from Conestoga College, Ontario as well as a degree in General Carpentry from Mohawk College, Ontario. With a certification in construction supervision, Paul is the General Superintendent, who watches over all jobs. Paul is very easy going but meticulous and devoted to his work. He provides excellent leadership, communication and relationship building skills. He works effectively with engineers, inspectors, other subcontractors and clients. His expert knowledge in construction provides Paul with the qualifications to review and evaluate bid documents, estimate costs, chart projections, write and negotiate contracts and lead cross-functional project teams. He has a strong background in the supervision of large, complex projects in both the United States and Canada making him an essential team leader. 

If Paul does decide to take a break from his busy schedule at work, most of the time he can be found at his cottage in Ontario, Canada where he enjoys the company of his children and grandchildren.

Joel M. Melloul, BASc

Being part of the founding family, Joel has been exposed to all facets of the construction industry for most of his life. From childhood summer employment, to university co-op terms, to junior office staff right through to leading the estimating department, Joel has gained a significant breadth of experience in both the field and the office.

His degree in Civil Engineering from University of Waterloo provided Joel with the problem solving skills needed to help advance and grow the corporation beyond its original business model.   With Joel's caring and continuous eye for betterment and through his close monitoring of results, the founding fathers are confident that with his stewardship the second generation will continue to serve and prosper by upholding the established original values of honesty, integrity and pride of workmanship.

As founding President of Melloul-Blamey, Bernie Melloul has built a company with a 'Stirling' reputation. His vast experience has seen the construction of schools, hospitals, nursing homes, arenas and industrial facilities all over Ontario, Canada.

Bernie and David Blamey initially started out as a two-man shop, finding and completing multiple projects, while astutely growing a humble business into a major force in the construction industry.

Bernie adopts a management style that attracts quality, loyal employees - true experts in their respective disciplines - who find longstanding homes. Many Melloul-Blamey employees are in their second decade with the company, which is a tremendous accomplishment for an industry rife with high employee turn-over rates and regularly in dire need of qualified, competent labourers and trades people.

Bernie has been recognized with many industry and community awards, primarily for his encouragement of expanding education within the industry. He has a strong safety record and a passionate commitment for the orderly transition of a 10-year succession plan, thereby ensuring the company's strength for many more years.
